Restaurant Theme: Na’vi Style from the World of Avatar.
Location: Pandora, Animal Kingdom
Type of Cuisine: American, Global Style dishes with an out of this world twist.
Cost: $ (Adult meals are under $15)
Style Dining: Quick Serve, Plenty of Indoor & Outdoor Seating
Pace: For an allergy consult (which we always do here with multiple allergies), it can take a long time, even when it's not crowded. Highly recommend going during nonpeak times.
Dairy-free, Egg-free Dining Options:
Smoked Chimichurri-braised beef: With rice and black beans, topped with crunchy vegetable slaw (vegan/nut free), Boba Balls (we omit these), and Sauce (if desired, although food is well seasoned).
Wood Grilled Chicken: With rice and black beans, topped with crunchy vegetable slaw (vegan/nut free), Boba Balls (we omit these), and Sauce (if desired, although food is well seasoned).
Combination Bowl (Beef and Chicken): With rice and black beans, topped with crunchy vegetable slaw (vegan/nut free), Boba Balls (we omit these), and Sauce (if desired, although food is well seasoned).
Allergy Notes:
The vegetable slaw here is egg-free (vinegar based), so no modifications are needed to the slaw for egg allergies (always confirm allergens when ordering as menus are subject to change).
We prefer to leave off the Boba brand pearls/balls (tapioca pearls) that are really there to give the dish an out of this world look. While we know plenty of allergy families who have safely consumed this product, we recommend that allergy families do their our own research or leave it off. We are not comfortable with this brand that sometimes has a "may contain" statement for a variety of allergens (depends on the distributer, which we've never had a chance to find out). Since they do not have milk or egg ingredients, they are listed safe on the milk and egg allergy menus. Disney does not consider shared lines or may contain for prepackaged ingredients, so we are cautious with certain premade ingredients like Boba.
Black Bean Sauce: fish/shellfish warning. There is fish sauce in the black bean sauce. There is an onion sauce that was allergy safe for milk and eggs, but several of us prefer all the already very seasoned meat/rice & and beans without any additonal sauces.
We recommend consulting an allergy coordinator (at any location really) with your order if you have multiple food allergies like we do (milk, egg, tree nuts, and shellfish). We still do, just to make sure we get the right sauce and nothing has changed from last time.
Our Rating: *** 3 Stars - The pros at this restaurant: They can accomodate a variety of allergies with their rice and bean bowls (dairy, egg, gluten, nuts, and more), the food is well-seasoned and flavorful (definitely not cafeteria food), plenty of air-conditioned indoor seating, pleasant decor, and staff is generally knowledgeable and helpful for multiple allergies. Our son loves rice and beans and could eat here every day (he would rate the food here 4 stars at least). The cons: not a lot of other options for milk and egg allergies and the wait to get a consult can be considerable. We will definitely be back to eat here again next time we are in Padora for the Na'vi boat ride.
Best Wishes,
No Dairy, No Eggs, No Problem

A Note About Walt Disney World Dining and Food Allergies:
Disney restaurants do not contact the food manufacturers of their ingredients to inquire about shared lines or shared facilities (this information is determined optional labeling by the FDA). It is your responsibility to ask for product brand names, ingredient lists (or to see the allergy binder), or to inquire about cross contact risks (e.g., desserts), should that be something that you need to know. For more information about dietary policies at Disney World restaurants, or for guests with four or more food allergies (or non-top 9 allergies), please contact Disney's Special Diets.
Disclaimer:
No dairy no eggs no problem is not intended to offer medical advice. We are just one allergy family. We follow the advice of our own allergist. All allergy families are different. Disney has great food allergy training and kitchen procedures, but there are no guarantees when dining out. Please consult your own doctor regarding safe strategies for dining out and always be prepared with an allergy action plan and emergency medication (Epi-Pen), just in case.
