Cosmic Ray's Starlight Cafe, A Quick Serve Burger Place at Magic Kingdom

Updated: May 6, 2024

Restaurant Theme: Futuristic Intergalactic Theme

Location: Tomorrowland, near Cinderella's Castle, inside Magic Kingdom Theme Park

Type of Cuisine: American Diner Style

Cost: $ Under $15 per adult

Style Dining: Quick Serve

Pace: This quick serve restaurant is highly affected by the parade schedule and tends to get crowded right as the parade ends because of the mid-park location, in addition to the high volume at peak lunch and dinner hours.

Allergy Orders: Always check with an allergy coordinator when ordering with multiple allergies, as there are multiple types of chicken tenders and buns sold at most quick serve places (sometimes the egg-free tender is "regular" and the gluten-free tender is labeled "allergy friendly"). Each type of tender tends to have separate fryers for cross contact reasons, and fries are often in a dedicated fryer. An allergy coordinator can help you find the correct type of tenders and buns. Mobile ordering is not available for customers with multiple food allergies. Note that the picture is from July 2023. Suppliers and ingredients are subject to change.

Dairy-free, Egg-free Dining Options:

  1. Chicken Strips (adult): 4 Chicken Strips Served with French Fries

  2. Chicken Strips (kid's meal): 2 Chicken Strips Served with two Sides

  3. Grilled Chicken Sandwich (adult):

  4. Grilled Chicken Sandwich (kid's meal): dsfsda

  5. Hamburger (adult): Available with the brioche bun (vegan), modified without the American Cheese, can be offered with the signature sauce and bacon. Our son (9) enjoys this adult sized burger plain with only bacon.

  6. Allergy friendly Kid's Sides: French fries, mandarin orange

  7. Plant-based Impossible Burger "Patty Melt": with plant-based Swiss cheese, pickle slaw and asteroid sauce on toast.

  8. Allergy friendly cookies: Prepackaged top-9 free allergy brand such as Partake.

Our Rating: **** 4 Stars - Lots of tasty dairy/egg allergy-safe options here. The burgers, chicken tenders, and fries were delicious, while the allergy safe children's grilled chicken is very plain and the plant-based impossible patty-melt was okay. For those with milk and egg allergies, the brioche-style soft wheat buns are a tasty bun option (softer than the GF allergy buns usually offered). This location can get very crowded and therefore time consuming for allergy orders, especially if you need to wait for an allergy coordinator. Try to avoid peak meals times as well as right after the parade, or plan to divide and conquer with one person ordering and the rest of the family staking out seats.

Best Wishes,

No Dairy, No Eggs, No Problem

A Note About Walt Disney World Dining and Food Allergies:

Disney restaurants do not contact the food manufacturers of their ingredients to inquire about shared lines or shared facilities (this information is determined optional labeling by the FDA). It is your responsibility to ask for product brand names, ingredient lists (or to see the allergy binder), or to inquire about cross contact risks (e.g., desserts), should that be something that you need to know. For more information about dietary policies at Disney World restaurants, or for guests with four or more food allergies (or non-top 9 allergies), please contact Disney's Special Diets.
